Supervision + Consultation
Hi! I'm Sam :) I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and I run a trauma-informed, nervous system-informed private practice in New Jersey for adults healing from complex trauma. Before private practice, I worked across many levels of care, including residential treatment (RTC), partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP), and Early Intervention Support Services (EISS). I also have experience teaching as an adjunct and through CEU presentations and workshops, and I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kean University.
My work is guided by a simple mission: rippling safety one nervous system at a time. I believe the emotional safety clients experience in therapy begins with the clinicians who hold it. I help clinicians attune to their own inner experience so they can stay present, hold space, and meet each client's experience with curiosity and humility.
Services for Professionals

If you're a Licensed Associate Counselor working toward your LPC in New Jersey, I offer supervision that supports your clinical growth.
My Approach
My supervision is grounded in the Developmental Model of Supervision. Supervisees grow through stages across different areas of competency, and each stage brings its own needs and concerns. I pay attention to where you are in your development and adjust my approach to fit what you need at any given time.
I also draw on the Discrimination Model, which describes three roles a supervisor moves between: teacher, counselor, and consultant. My role shifts depending on our focus at the time: your intervention skills, your case conceptualization, or the personal reactions your work brings up in you.
Alongside these models, my approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, attending to both your professional and personal growth as a clinician. Supervision is tailored to your experience level and goals, with an emphasis on building confidence and competence. I may offer reflections to help you explore personal reactions that are affecting your work, but supervision is not therapy. If something comes up that calls for deeper exploration, I'll encourage you to bring it to your own therapist.
Individual Supervision
New Jersey requires LACs to receive at least one hour of face-to-face supervision each week, totaling at least 50 hours per year. Individual supervision with me is set up to meet those requirements while giving you consistent, dedicated space to grow.
When you work with me, you can expect:
Weekly in-person sessions, in line with New Jersey's current face-to-face requirement
Coordination with your site, including communicating with your site supervisor or director as needed
All required paperwork, including your Proposed Plan of Supervision and any other documentation the Board or your site requires
Hour tracking, with a running spreadsheet of your supervision hours so you always know where you stand
Sign-off on your hours when you're ready to apply for your LPC
My goal is for the administrative side of licensure to feel clear and manageable, never like one more thing to worry about.
Individual supervision: $100 per session
Group Supervision
Group supervision is a chance to learn alongside peers, hear different perspectives on cases, and build community during the licensure process. New Jersey allows groups of up to six counselors, and up to 10 hours of group supervision per year can count toward your required supervision hours.
Groups form once at least three people are interested. If you'd like to join, reach out and I'll add you to the interest list.
We'll set the schedule together, choosing a meeting time and frequency that works for the group and continues to support everyone's growth.
For my individual supervisees, a group session can count as your weekly supervision hour, up to 10 hours per year. I'll track this for you so your hours always stay in compliance.
Group supervision: $40 per session
